Week 5 {March13th-March19th}

{Sunday: March 13th}
Whenever we say it's time for nap Lily says 'noooooo' and tries to run away but as soon as we catch her she gives in and starts saying her goodbyes to everybody.

She noticed I wanted to take a picture so gave me the ol' arm cross!

{Monday: March 14th}
Daddy is almost done hanging up our 'new' swing out front and laying down some pavers, I looked out the door and saw Ava sitting here and she looked so sweet with her blonde hair glowing in the sun I had to snap a picture. This swing is turning out to be a new favorite place for me!

{Tuesday: March 15th}
Every Tuesday night I escape...(I mean spend time away from my 'mommy duties') by going to small group. These girls have seen me cry more than their share but we have also spent A LOT of time laughing together!!! Doing life alongside this group of women has been such a blessing...and it also gives Avery a chance to have 'daddy time' with the kids...Win Win!

{Wednesday: March 16th}
 Lily was way to quite and this is how I found her, No that is not her toothbrush, No that is not her shoe, and No this is not the first time she has gotten into mischief in the bathroom...last time the toothbrush was in the toilet so I caught her early this time.

Every other Wednesday night I go from mommy to 'Miss Lucy' and provide crafts for the kids up at Chick-fil-a. This has been such fun for me and my two favorite 'customers' Elijah and Ava...as soon as I get home Ava asks if I have any leftovers so she can make some more, I love watching her create!

{Thursday:March17th}
Happy St.Patrick's Day! Not really sure what happened in this picture here but it pretty much sums-up each of their personalities...Elijah was busy trying to pinch me all day, Ava went outside to pick a clover for me to pin on my shirt so he would stop pinching me, and Lily was just being Lily.

That's better!

{Friday: March 18th}
So this was Daddy day! Elijah started it off by getting Daddy all to himself doing one of their favorite things: fishing! Elijah still hasn't caught one yet but his casting is getting better and better and he enjoys every second of it!

This is the life!

Later that night it was Ava's turn. Avery and Ava came to the Daddy Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-a and I was working the craft table so I got to spy on them enjoying their dinner and desserts together, it was so sweet.

Here is Ava with her finished frame and photo for daddy to put on our fridge. Chick-fil-a also provided each daddy/daughter couple with some questions to start conversation and Avery grabbed a pen to write down Ava's answers:
Who is your all time hero? Jesus
What is your most prized possession? My Radio
What is your favorite meal? Fries
If you had $20 what would you buy? a piggy bank
What would you like to do when you grow-up? Work at Chick-fil-a

What do you like to do with me? Date nights
What causes you to loose sleep? Not getting cozy
What was your greatest achievment this year? going to dance class
Greatest dissapointments? When Lily hits me in the morning (we're working on this)
What area can I support you in? Going out front to play
What is your best talent? Playing with Lily
If given 2 hrs of free time what would you do? Jump on trampoline
What is one memory of a time we spent together that really stands out for you? Valentine's Day
What is the thing you love most about your dad? That he shares.

{Saturday: March 19th}
Cousin Eliyana's 5th birthday party was today, the kids had a blast playing with their cousins and Avery was throwing hula hoops around Elijah as he ran around the yard...human ring-toss I guess.

Week 4 {March 6th-March 12th}

{March 6th}
Favorite thing to do as soon as we get to church?
Running across the giant dirt hill!
Such sweet kids...and this is Lily's new pose for almost all her pictures!

{March 7th}
Monday's are 'Hungry Howie Nights' so me and the kids head over to Grandma & Grandpa's for pizza and fun, on this particular night Lily was encouraging everyone to sit with her so she could 'read' to them, the girl loves books!
As soon as we set foot in our house from pizza night the kids beg for "Just a couple minutes" to play...Elijah typically busts out the legos and the girls take care of all their babies, once again Lily is striking her pose.

{March 8th}
such a busybody today, playing all over the place and being a goof ball and pretending to sleep on Elijah's bed...while wearing 1 shoe.

{March 9th}
Ava and I met-up with her old preschool buddy Alex for a picnic at the park, such a beautiful day and a good time!

{March 10th}
Me: "Time to get out of the bathtub Lily"
Lily: "noooooooooooo" (with arms crossed)
(this dialog went on about 15 times before I found the strength to actually pull her out!)

{March 11th}
Lily was not feeling so super-duper so we laid low at home today. Although I hate seeing my baby sick I have to admit I enjoy all the snuggles immensely...especially from this squirmy mover that normally won't cuddle for more than 2 seconds!

{March 12th}
Elijah came home with an awesome report card so we rewarded him with a new game for his ds (or his "DSI XL" as he would say). It was an easy choice to get Super Mario Bros. since he has been requesting it for awhile...well actually he asked for "Super Mario Brews"...but we knew what he meant :) Ava is content just to watch him play his prized possession!

Week 3 {Minor Set-Back!}

So my dear little Lily dropped my camera last week and it was stuck in camcorder mode so I could not take pictures :( I gave it to Avery to see if by some miracle he could make it work and of course he was able to fix it for me, I love that man! So I will be back next week with a picture post...and I have decided to also include in this blog any funny quotes that the kids may say...I'm always thinking "I should write that down!" and now I have a place to do it :)

Week 2 {February 22nd-February 28th}

{February 22nd}
Went in to get Lily from her nap and found her with her sock on her hand!

{February 23rd}
Lily insists on climbing all over these chairs!

{February 24th}
Ava wanted to play 'neighbor' so what started as a normal lunch turned into me having my 'neighbor' over for lunch and meeting her new baby.

{February 25th}
Elijah was crawling through tunnels made out of sheets with his eyes closed, I asked what he was doing and Elijah replied, "I'm a naked mole rat!"...which apparently are blind.

{February 25th}
Ava had to bring her new owl friend 'Kelly' to dance class to watch her in action,
and she wanted to dress just like her too.
{February 26th}
Favorite part of nightly homework? The jokes at the top of the page!
Tonights joke was: Why is the sky so high? So birds don't hit their heads!
Wonderful kid-humor!!!
