I was not the greatest at taking pictures once again this week (I think it’s the fact that summer vacation is wrapping-up quickly here) However I did take plenty of pictures on August 2nd when Ava and I got to go on a Mommy-Daughter-Date with Amy and Kylie so I will dedicate this post to the fun night we had together.
We are on our way to celebrate Kylie’s 5th birthday tonight and Ava was very excited to give Kylie her present (a cool fort kit and a pottery painting giftcard)
To Ava’s surprise Kylie had a little present for her as well…
Matching “BFF” shirts,
now they are really ready for a night of fun!
The girls had so much fun sitting at their own table, talking and giggling and munching on their food, and Ava loved making Kylie laugh by dancing silly to the ethnic music that was playing in the restaurant.

Ava took a picture of Amy and I (actually she took about 10 pictures and this was the best one that turned out…my camera has issues.) We all had a bite to eat at Chipotle to start our mommy-daughter-friendship-fun-night, whew! that’s a lot of relationships.
Finally it was time to go paint pottery! The girls were excited to be here, it is Ava’s 2nd time and she still talks about the 1st time we went (which was about a year ago!) and it was Kylie’s first time…I could feel the energy as they were looking around and being silly together.
- Choosing Paint Colors -
Now it’s time to paint. Ava takes her time and is thoughtful with each stroke and Kylie is a wild child with her brushes and water in flurry, it is funny how different our girls are from one another and each of their 'works-of-art' turns out Unique and Beautiful…Just like them!
Amy and I need to refuel after the pottery-painting-extravaganza and thankfully there is a Dunkin Donuts right next door. (picture taken by Ava)
The girls decided on icecream instead of doughnuts (you know because sugar is just what these two need) and we wrapped-up our evening enjoying all our treats.
Crazy Girls, Crazy Moms.
BFF’s really do rock.
oh…and I came home to find Avery and Elijah having a fun-night of their own. Avery was teaching Elijah how to play Rummy while hunting videos played on the t.v. in the background, must be a guy-thing.
